Today my local club has a season specific “fun-shoot”, in connection with the danish tradition of “fastelavn”. For the non-danes reading this, fastelavn is kind of like halloween with the dressing up, but without the element of having to be scary, and then we fill a barrel with candy for the kids to keep beating at with a stick until it breaks and the candy is all over the ground. So at this fun-shoot, in stead of shooting at wooden barrels, which i coldn’t imagine would turn out as a good idea, we shoot at a drawing or selfmade target, made by last years winner, and whoever gets the most points, get their name on the wall at the club. Getting started…

This will be the post that will start off this blog. Just sayin’.

Im currently on the train, a cold and gray monday morning, on my way home from a competition near Copenhagen, where i had been in charge of the results management. Perhaps i’ll get back to this topic in a later post. I thought that this 2.5 hour train ride, back to my home base (the beautiful city of Aarhus) would be my time to study before monday classes at uni, however the increasing trend of archery blogs/websites/social media gave me the idea of skipping the studying for today and try to make my own go at this.
